Pavilion and Sports Field

The pavilion and sports field are a community asset and are regularly hired out for all sorts of sporting activities and events.

There are 5 football pitches (junior and senior sized) which are hired out under contract to Market Bosworth AFC and a full cricket pitch, which is hired out under contract to Newbold Verdon Cricket Club. There is also an all-weather pitch which can be hired out to anyone, which also includes the pavilion. Due to the pitches and cricket field being under contract, they are not for public hire.

The pavilion has disabled access, a fully functioning kitchen, with a shower block, toilets, and a large main meeting/events area.

Should you wish to hire either the all-weather or pavilion, please check its availability using Hallmaster (details and link below) and then contact the Clerk directly.

Council now use a booking system called Hallmaster for all bookings in conjunction with the sports field facilities and the pavilion room hire. The bookings diary can be accessed using the below link, which will enable you to see live bookings for each date/week.

Should you wish to make a booking, please click on black cross on your preferred date within the diary and complete the form which appears. Once this has been done, your booking request will be reviewed, processed and confirmed should the facilities be available. If you are a new customer, please contact the Clerk directly.

Please note that the sports field and pavilion now have CCTV in operation 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Should you wish to review the policies documents for this, please go to the left hand menu on the homepage and select About The Council, Policies and Procedures.

The hire charges/fees are as follows:

• Pavilion (main meeting room): hourly rate starting at £16.00 per hour during the spring/summer and starting at £18.00 per hour during the autumn and winter months.
• All Weather pitch hire: £20.00 per hour.

Due to the need and demand for a fully working and professional surface for the all weather pitch, Council completed a public consultation back in 2021 and decided to move forward with this project.

Council agreed to apply for grant funding to cover the costs of resurfacing this facility and the grant application with Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council was successful, with Bloor Homes also agreeing to relinquish some of the Section 106 funds early, to allow for this project to be completed.

The works were completed in early October and the new facility is back in use with a brand new 3G surface.
